Sustainability Product - Round 2 opens tomorrow
As communicated in last week's Talking Water, the second round of Sustainability Product expressions of interest will open at
9.00am tomorrow (Wednesday 2 September 2026), with a total volume of 79,672ML on offer.
Expressions of interest will close at 5.00pm on Tuesday 8 September 2026.
Further information on price per ML, finance options and the detailed terms and conditions will be sent to customers via email and text message later this afternoon.

August Board meeting update
Murray Irrigation held a Board meeting on Thursday 27 August 2026.
It was pleasing to have all Directors attend this meeting in person, which provided the Board further opportunity to host extra meetings with shareholders and workshops with Management over the course of the week.

Commonwealth Water Act Review
Submissions into the first round of consultation on the Commonwealth Water Act Review closed yesterday. Murray Irrigation's submission is publicly available and can be accessed via the button below.
Company Directors and staff also contributed to submissions that were prepared by the Murray Regional Strategy Group (MRSG), and National Irrigators' Council (NIC). These will be loaded to Murray Irrigation's website once they are also publicly available.

Latest NSW DCCEEW Water Allocation announcement
The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) has announced today (1 September) a 3% increase to NSW Murray General Security water entitlements.
This brings the allocation total for the 2026-27 season to 18%.

Mid-season update and variety trial inspection - Tullakool
Join the Wakool farmer discussion group for a practical look at the way the season is progressing, how local growers are using soil moisture probes and thinking about their irrigation decisions.
When: Friday 11 September
Time: 2.15pm - 5.00pm
Location: Tullakool Hall, 4192 Moulamein Road
Following discussions, there will be an inspection of a Noorong winter variety trial containing wheat, barley and faba beans.
Mayrung Summer Crop Update
Murray Local Land Services invites you to the Mayrung summer crop update to hear about the latest challenges, lessons, and management considerations for the 2026-27 summer cropping season from Nutrien, IK Caldwell, Sefton Agronomics, and other local experts.
