Annual Sponsorship Program

Murray Irrigation prides itself on supporting healthy, viable and vibrant local communities by giving back to projects and initiatives across our area of operations.


There are two streams of funding available to apply for under our annual sponsorship program:


  • Community Sponsorship - for community-driven projects focused on promoting safety, participation and wellbeing.
  • Education Sponsorship - for primary and secondary school initiatives that promote student learning, development and wellbeing.


Applications for our 2025-26 sponsorship round are now closed (see the below recipient lists).


Our next funding round will open in the first half of 2026.

Applications for Murray Irrigation's 2026-27 sponsorship round are now open.

 

Sponsorship is available under the following two categories:

 

  • Community Sponsorship Program - for community organisations located within our area of operations who seeking funding for activities which enhance, promote and embed safety and wellbeing.

 

  • Education Sponsorship Program - for registered primary and secondary schools located within our area of operations who seeking funding for activities that promote student learning, development and wellbeing.

Community groups will be notified by mid-July regarding the outcome of their application.

Download the Eduction Sponsorship Program  application form below, fill it out letting us know how your school project or initiative supports student learning, development and wellbeing, and submit the form to marketing@murrayirrigation.com.au by Monday 29 June 2026.


Schools will be notified by mid-July regarding the outcome of their application.

Murray Irrigation is pleased to have awarded funding to five local community projects for 2025.

Berrigan Football Netball Club

$1,900 to purchase ice making machine.

Deniliquin Little Athletics Club

$745 to purchase discus and shotput trolley.

Deniliquin Youth Initiative Inc

$2,400 to support furniture fit out

Ricegrowers' Association Landcare

$5,000 towards community planting and wellbeing project.

Barooga Aquatic & Recreation Centre

$5,000 for Bush Nippers river lifesaving program.

Education Sponsorship Program Recipients for 2025

Murray Irrigation is pleased to have awarded funding to three local school  projects for 2025.

Berrigan Public School P&C

$2,800 for Capable Minds mental health and wellbeing program.

Combined Small Schools
(Conargo, Blighty, Mayrung, Bunnaloo Public Schools)

$3,500 towards cost of school camp.

$3,700 for Years 11&12 project to establish a Harmony Circle..
