Operational Update
Supplementary Licence
The Southern Riverina has had a great start to the irrigation season, with ample rain which has resulted in an extended Supplementary Water Event that customers have been able to take advantage of.
To date, Murray Irrigation has diverted approximately 76GL under this Supplementary Water Event leaving around 45GL on the Companies Supplementary Licence.
If this event continues and the Companies Supplementary Licence is exhausted while water allocations are below 60%, Murray Irrigation will take advantage of the Uncontrolled Flows (UCF) provision in the NSW Murray and Lower Darling Water Sharing Plan.
The Company is keeping a close watch on this event, and will provide further information on how customers can access UCF if it is made available.
