Business News

July Shareholder Meetings concluded

Murray Irrigation has concluded our July Shareholder Meetings, with the final session taking place online last Thursday morning.

Over the course of the last four weeks we have hosted 12 face-to-face meetings and one online session.

The purpose of these events was to provide shareholders details about our new Water Solutions initiative, which is designed to retain productive water in the footprint, and to discuss Murray Irrigation's broader strategic direction.

Thank you to the 150 plus shareholders who participated in these meetings for your candour and constructive feedback.

We have been extremely encouraged by the general response that these meetings have engendered. The reaction to Murray Irrigation's proactive efforts to mitigate the impact of water buybacks through our Water Solutions initiative has been particularly positive.

Participating shareholders have also indicated that the information shared during these events have provided them greater clarity on the direction the Board is heading under the company's new Strategic Plan.

The team is currently developing a report containing the meeting presentations, together with summaries of the themes and key points to arise during the discussions, which we will release to shareholders in due course.

Australian Rice Conference - Leeton

The rice industry is coming together for the Australian Rice Conference, which is being held at Leeton from 6-8 August.

Murray Irrigation is proud to be sponsoring this year's event. Call by our exhibitor booth to catch up with members of our team.

This year's conference is especially significant as it marks 100 years of rice, honouring the resilience, innovation, and legacy of the pioneers who shaped the industry.

Hosted bi-annually by the Ricegrowers’ Association of Australia (RGA) in partnership with the SunRice Group, AgriFutures Australia, and key sponsors, the conference brings together a broad cross-section of the industry; growers, researchers, service providers, marketers, food businesses, and exporters for connection, collaboration, and celebration.

This year’s program includes a trade exhibition, interactive sessions, and insights from leading voices in agriculture, agronomy, and water efficiency.

The Gala Dinner will be a major highlight, offering an evening of networking, storytelling, and reflection on a century of progress in Australian rice.
