This Operational Update provides information on the transition out of Winter Operations into Regular Operation for the 2025-26 season.
2025-26 Season Operating Plan
The 2025-26 Season Operating Plan is now available on our website and explains the Modes of Operation and how the water delivery year operates.
Regular Operations will commence in Mode 2 – Dry. This mode enables water savings and efficient operation of the system whilst providing moderate flexibility to customers with up to 4-day order notification required.
To understand the service levels provided to customers, the Season Operating Plan should be read in conjunction with the Customer Service Charter.

What do customers need to do?
Customers need to place orders, as early as possible, online via the Customer Portal
bit.ly/MILWaterOrdering.
Due to the 4-day notice period, the online water ordering system will only offer starts for 96 hours (4 days) in advance.
All orders will be reviewed daily to determine if they can be delivered earlier due to the available water in the channel section.
For stock and domestic supply customers should call Customer Experience to request temporary intervention where there is an inadequate supply height.
Irrigation Intentions
With regular operations in Mode 2- Dry, channel sections where no demand is shown or there is no intention to irrigate will not be filled.
Customers will be called over the coming weeks to tell us about the irrigation intentions for their outlets over the upcoming spring and summer. This will provide Murray Irrigation with the intelligence to operate the system efficiently and enable water savings.
