Swimming safety warning
With the temperatures starting to heat up, Murray Irrigation is issuing a warning to the community about the dangers of swimming in irrigation channels.
Swimming in Murray Irrigation channels is not only prohibited, but extremely risky.
Strong undercurrents, submerged objects, snakes and fluctuating water flows are among the many threats that lie beneath water's surface.
So please remind your loved ones to be smart this summer and find a safe place to swim.

Summer spray drift management
Another summer has rolled around, which means it's time again to talk about spray drift management.
The importance of good spray drift management during the high-risk summer months can't be overstated.
In this latest episode of the CottonInfo 'Crop to Top' podcast, Cotton Australia Policy Officer, Doug McCollum, talks about controlling the controllables (and managing the uncontrollable elements), the critical role of communication among growers and the broader community during the summer months, and the importance of reporting spray drift incidents.
