Industry profile: Murray Irrigation FACAP Project

Murray Irrigation's Foundational Asset Condition Assessment Project (FACAP) has been profiled by water industry magazine, Inside Water.

The article highlights how this project - the biggest one-off condition assessment that Murray Irrigation has ever undertaken - has used innovative technology in collaboration with Beca to build a detailed picture of asset condition across our entire network.

The result is a comprehensive baseline that Murray Irrigation can use to better prioritise maintenance and investment, reduce the need for manual inspections, and plan with greater confidence for the long term.

Business News

Quarter 1 Allocation Trading Strategy

From 1 July 2026, new disclosure provisions have come into effect under the Water Act 2007 (Cth). Among other things, these disclosure provisions require certain entities to disclose ‘Water Market Decisions’, including their trading strategy, on their website and/or to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).

Pursuant to these new disclosure provisions, Murray Irrigation Limited (Company) published our first trading strategy on Thursday 2 July 2026.

This announcement, which includes the distribution of the 5% Water Users Credit, can be found on the Company’s website below, or at the BOM’s disclosure portal.

The Company will continue to make announcements to the market as required throughout the year.

For ease of access, the Company has created a new tab on our website under ‘News’ then ‘Water Trading’.

This is an important step for the Company as we continue to meet and improve on governance and regulatory obligations of the business, while diversifying our income streams to keep customer fees as low as possible.
