Murray Irrigation Fee Structure Review
Murray Irrigation is now in to the final week of our Fee Structure Review customer information sessions.
These meetings provide customers an opportunity to understand the proposed change to the company's fee structure, why this change is being considered, and ask questions of Management and Directors prior to giving your feedback.

For those who are unable to participate in the scheduled meetings but would like to hear more about the fee structure review, feel free to watch the below webinar recording.
As previously communicated, the Murray Irrigation Board will be seeking customer feedback via an online survey before making its decision on whether to proceed with the proposed change to the company's fees, or to maintain the status quo.
The survey will be open from this Friday 10 April until 17 April and will be available within the Customer Portal.
We will be sharing details of this survey to customers later this week.

Restoring Murray Waterways Project
Behind Murray Irrigation's Restoring Murray Waterways (RMW) Project is a committed team of people who are passionate about what they do.
From engineers, supervisors and local civil works contractors to administration and landholder liaison staff, each has an important role to play in the planning and rolling out of this critical program that is enabling life-restoring environmental flows to be delivered into ephemeral creeks and wetlands throughout the Edward/Kolety-Wakool River Region.

Customer in Focus feature - Deniliquin Youth Initiative

Deniliquin Youth Initiative President Nicole Young and committee members Linda Fawns, Lourene Liebenberg and David 'The Baron' Schoeffel outside the recently launched Edward River Youth Centre.
In our latest Community in Focus feature, we're shining a light on the Deniliquin Youth Initiative, which is transforming a vacant community hall into a vibrant youth hub to create new opportunities and support for young people across the Edward River region.
The Deniliquin Youth Initiative is a recipient of Murray Irrigation's 2025/26 sponsorship program.

Local Landholder Associations meeting
The West Berriquin and Denimein Local Landholder Associations are hosting a joint meeting at the Sportsmans Arms Hotel, Deniliquin, next Tuesday 14 April.
The meeting commences at 6.00pm.
The topics will include an update from Murray Irrigation regarding the company's fee structure review and its response to the Murray-Darling Basin Plan Review.
Representatives from the Murray-Darling Basin Authority will also be present to assist with preparing Basin Plan Review submissions.

Biochar in agriculture - the basics
Join Murray Local Land Services and Western Murray Land Improvement Group to explore the benefits and challenges of biochar in commercial agriculture.

- Russell Burnett (Rainbow Bee Eater) – what biochar is, soil health benefits, local trial results and practical challenges

- North East Water – biochar for water filtration, the benefits of biosolid biochar and the launch of the pyrolysis pilot

Latest NSW DCCEEW Water Allocation Statement
The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) announced last week (1 April) that there will be no change in allocations to General Security entitlements for the NSW Murray.
The total cumulative allocation to General Security entitlements remains at 20% for the 2025/26 water year.
