Preparing for 2023 Winter Operations

In coming weeks, we start the transition from Regular Operation to Winter Operations.

The aim of the Winter Operation period is to:

  • reduce the impact of the maintenance strategy on customers, and
  • assist in delivering the winter works program on time and on budget.
  • For customers this will mean:
  • a change to 4 days’ notice for orders,
  • drawdown in areas where there are no
  • irrigation intentions or future orders and access for winter works is required.
  • Customers can assist us by:
  • placing orders as early as possible,
  • letting us know if you plan to irrigate in
  • May or June, and
  • filling your stock & domestic dams.

More details in the Season Operating Plan.

Alert: Daylight-saving ends Sunday

If you are placing an order to finish after daylight savings ends, this Sunday 2 April, the water ordering system will automatically reduce the order by an hour to enable lodgement.

We will manually adjust all orders to the correct finish time for the operating area.
