Foundational Asset Condition Assessment Project progress

Murray Irrigation has achieved a key milestone in our Foundational Asset Condition Assessment Project (FACAP) with the completion of an extensive field survey of the company's asset base.

This mammoth undertaking has taken 26 weeks to complete, and has incorporated a mix of ground, aerial and bathymetric (underwater) survey work.

Innovative technology, including aerial photogrammetry, LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) imagery and in-channel bathymetric survey, has been utilised to efficiently capture data which will be assessed over the next 12-18 months to provide Murray Irrigation with a comprehensive condition assessment of all civil and earthen assets across our footprint.

Murray Irrigation crews have been working alongside contractors Beca, Veris and Aviation Technology to complete this significant first stage of the project.

The data is currently being compiled and processed ahead of entering into the all-important asset assessments phase (Stage 2) of the project.

For more information on this project, visit Murray Irrigation's website below.
