Shareholder Update - 22 April 2024

Director nominations close this Friday.

Director nominations are due to close at 5.00pm on Friday 26 April. Applications are welcomed for both member and non-member directors. Further information including the nomination form and how to submit it, is available on the company website.
 
Once the nomination period closes, an independent selection committee will review candidates against a specified selection criteria relating to the current skills the Board requires, to form recommendations to the Board for approval.
 
The selection committee includes Managing Director of Seftons, Robbie Sefton, Chairman and Director of K.M & W.M Kelly & Sons, Chris Kelly, and founder and Director of Blink Connect, Jennie Grigg.
 
Murray Irrigation Chair, Phil Snowden said these three individuals have impressive skill sets and extensive experience in agriculture across primary production, communications, industry, advisory, human resources, and governance. 

“When selecting the committee, Lachlan, Trish, Rob and I wanted to ensure the individuals had a sound understanding of the region and the issues and challenges we face”, Mr Snowden said.
 
“Robbie and Chris are local to the area, have an in depth understanding of local issues, extensive experience in primary production and the industry that supports it, as well as director and industry body experience.
 
“Jennie has worked with Murray Irrigation providing human resources support for a number of years. She has supported the company through significant cultural change over the last few years and will provide valuable human resources insights regarding the continuous improvement in culture and staff wellbeing”.

Mr Snowden said the company is targeting to have a fully constitutional Board back in place by 8 May 2024.
 
“Progress in a number of areas has been put on hold over the past four months due to the General Meeting process.
 
“Lachlan, Rob, Trish and I are looking forward to welcoming new members to the Board and continuing to work towards the outcomes of the business’ strategic plan.”
