Shareholder Update - 2025 Member Director election voting now open
1 September 2025
Voting for Murray Irrigation Limited's (Company) 2025 Member Director Election is now up and running.
The ballot opened at 9.00am this morning (Monday 1 September) and will run until 9.00am Monday 29 September 2025.
The election is being conducted via an online ballot operated by an independent third-party provider, Vero Voting.
Four candidates are contesting two available Member Director positions on the Company's Board in this year's election. These two vacancies arise from the four-year rotation of these positions, as required by the Company's Constitution.
The four candidates (whose order was determined by a random scrutineered draw) are as follows:
- Michael Clark
- Brendan Barry
- Phillip Snowden
- Lachlan Marshall
The two successful candidates will take office immediately after the completion of the Company's 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and will hold office until the completion of the 2029 AGM.
Shareholders are encouraged to have their say and participate in the voting process.
Vero Voting posted voting details to individual shareholders (via a NSW mailing house) last week. Customised letters include a unique URL link for the Company’s 2025 Member Director Election and a seven-digit username and four-digit pin (password) for each vote.
If you do not receive your voting details by Friday, 5 September 2025, please contact Vero Voting on T: 1300 702 898 between 11.00am and 7.00pm AEST. If calling outside of these hours, you will be able to leave a message with your contact number and a Vero Voting representative will return your call.
To assist shareholders with the voting process, we have published a 'How to vote' instruction guide on the Company’s website. Furthermore, shareholders who may not have internet access are more than welcome to drop-in to the Company’s Deniliquin or Finley office between 8.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, to cast their vote. Please ensure you bring your voting details with you as the Company does not have access to your personal voting information.
The Company uses an optional preferential voting system for Member Director elections, as required by the Company's Constitution. This means shareholders have the choice to express a preference for one, some, or all of the candidates in a ballot. In other words, shareholders need indicate only a first preference for their vote to be valid. All further preferences are optional.
