2026-27 Season Operations

This Operational Update provides information on the transition out of Winter Operations into Regular Operation for the 2026-27 season. 
 
2026-27 Season Operating Plan

The 2026-27 Season Operating Plan is now available on our website and explains the Modes of Operation and how the water delivery year operates.   

Regular Operations will commence in Mode 2 – Dry. This mode enables water savings and efficient operation of the system whilst providing moderate flexibility to customers with up to 4-day order notification required. 

To understand the service levels provided to customers, the Season Operating Plan should be read in conjunction with the Customer Service Charter. 

Guaranteed Water Delivery Dates

Guaranteed delivery dates for both Maintenance and Non-Maintenance areas are listed below.

Southern 6 and Mallan 5 Update

Progress on critical works within the Southern 6 and Mallan 5 systems have been impacted due to rainfall events during the winter period.

As noted in the above table, water delivery in these areas will commence from 25 August (Southern 6) and 5 September (Mallan 5).

Murray Irrigation has been working closely with affected customers to understand their requirements and minimise the impacts of these delays wherever possible.

We appreciate customers' patience and understanding while these essential works are completed.
 
What do customers need to do?

Customers need to place orders online via the Customer Portal bit.ly/MILWaterOrdering. 
Due to the 4-day notice period, the online water ordering system will only offer starts for 96 hours (4 days) in advance. 

All orders will be reviewed daily to determine if they can be delivered earlier due to the available water in the channel section.
