Murray Irrigation AGM to be held on February 24

Murray Irrigation shareholders are reminded that the company will hold its 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, February 24.

The meeting will commence at 10:30am at the Deniliquin RSL Club, with registrations opening at 10:00am.

Originally scheduled for November 24 last year, Murray Irrigation postponed its 2022 AGM due to major local flooding, which would have prevented many shareholders from attending.

Murray Irrigation CEO, Ron McCalman, said the late February date has been chosen to ensure as many shareholders can attend as possible.

“Shareholder feedback has been crucial to helping us determine the appropriate timing of our rescheduled AGM,” Mr McCalman said.

“Multiple resolutions will be presented on the day, including the appointment of two Non-Member Directors, Trisha Gorman and Robert Burbury; a proposed increase to the Directors remuneration cap; a selective share capital reduction; and two modifications to the company’s constitution.

“These are important decisions for the company, and we want to ensure as many shareholders as possible will be on hand to cast their vote.”

Mr McCalman is urging shareholders who are unable to attend on the day to make sure they have their say by completing and submitting a proxy form.

Proxy forms that were submitted for the original November 2022 AGM are still valid. However, shareholders can withdraw previously submitted forms and submit new ones if they choose. In line with the company’s constitution, all proxy forms need to be received by Murray Irrigation before 10:30am on Wednesday, February 22.
