Southern Basin irrigation companies meet with new NSW Water Minister

Last week, Murray Irrigation, Murrumbidgee Irrigation and Coleambally Irrigation Co-operative executives met with the new NSW Water Minister, The Hon. Rose Jackson MLC in Sydney. 


Many topics were discussed during the meeting, including company initiatives and projects, the Murray-Darling Basin Plan, SDLAM and the challenges faced by our region's respective irrigation areas. 


Murray Irrigation CEO Ron McCalman described the meeting as "very positive".     

"Murray Irrigation looks forward to regular discussions with Minister Jackson as we continue to build an open working relationship,

helping the new Government to understand community impacts of potential legislation on the regions," Mr McCalman said.
