Basin Plan Review - Preliminary Information Sessions


The Murray-Darling Basin Authority has commenced the public consultation phase of the 2026 Basin Plan Review with a Discussion Paper.

Murray Irrigation's Water Policy Coordinator - Linda Christesen - has undertaken a preliminary examination of the content released by the MDBA yesterday. She will be holding in-person information sessions on the Discussion Paper, and the broader Review process, in Deniliquin, Finley, and Wakool next week.  


Details are as follows:


  • The Coach House Deniliquin - 5pm Tuesday 10 February.
  • Murray Irrigation Finley Board room - 9am Wednesday 11 February.
  • Wakool Services Club - 3.30pm Wednesday 11 February.


We expect these sessions to run for about 90 minutes. This will allow Linda to give her presentation, and ensure there's plenty of time to answer any questions you may have. Refreshments will be provided.
