Fee Structure Review Feedback Survey closed
Murray Irrigation's Fee Structure Review Feedback Survey is now closed.
We extend our thanks to everyone who has responded to this survey, which marks the final step in this important engagement process.
The customer feedback is now being collated, and will be provided to the Murray Irrigation Board when it meets at the end of April.
The Board will use this feedback to make an informed and final decision on whether to proceed with the proposed change or to maintain the current fee structure.
The company will communicate the Board's decision to customers as soon as possible following this meeting.

Basin Plan Review submissions closing soon
The Murray Regional Strategy Group (MRSG) is urging individuals to make their own submission to the 2026 Murray-Darling Basin Plan Review.
With submissions due to close at 5.00pm on Friday May 1, the group says it is important for the region’s future that a wide cross section of the community is represented during this process.

Women in Irrigated Ag Conference - Whitton

The Irrigation Research & Extension Committee (IREC) is hosting its first ever Women in Irrigated Ag Conference.
When: Wednesday 3 June
Where: Whitton Malt House
Time: 9.00am - 3.00pm
Cost: $50 per person (includes all-day barista coffee, morning tea and lunch)
This year’s event will bring together women from across the Murrumbidgee, Murray and Lachlan Valleys with the aim of increasing knowledge, networking with like-minded women and learning more about important matters in their farming businesses.
People from all industries and career stages are encouraged to attend, including producers, agribusiness professionals, community leaders and emerging young women in agriculture.

New leadership program for Basin communities
The Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA), in partnership with the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation, has established the Murray-Darling Basin Leadership Program.
This program brings leaders together across the Basin to expand networks and foster collaboration to support the Basin’s long-term health and resilience.

Latest NSW DCCEEW Water Allocation Statement
The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) announced last week (15 April) a 2% increase for NSW Murray General Security water entitlements.
This brings the total cumulative allocation to General Security entitlements for the NSW Murray to 22% for the 2025/26 water year.
