Operational Update
We are changing our banker from CBA to ANZ
Murray Irrigation is changing our banking partner from CBA to ANZ. This includes both Operational and Water Exchange (WEX) bank accounts.
We are taking a planned approach to manage the cyber security risk during this transition and all customers will receive a letter regarding the banking changes in the coming weeks.
What you will need to do:
When you pay your next invoice, please process your account payments into the new ANZ bank accounts.
Please note if you pay via BPAY, the Biller codes will not be changing and you will not have to take any action.
Please visit the webpage below for more information and to add our new bank details to your systems.
In season maintenance work - Machines operating now
Murray Irrigation is currently conducting significant weed removal in channels throughout the region. This de-weeding work will continue throughout the summer.
Weed removal works will increase heavy machinery activity and vehicle movements in and around channels.
We ask that you please adhere to any safety signage and be aware of any changed channel or road conditions.
If you need to approach our work site to safely move equipment or stock, please contact our work crew using the contact details provided on the signage at our site.
Ensuring our maintenance works are carried out safely is our first priority.
As noted in our Work Health and Safety Policy, Murray Irrigation is committed to the safety, health and wellbeing of all people involved in our business. This includes community members, road users and the landholdings where our works are being carried out.
Please let us know if you observe weeds, blockages or to report any safety issues by calling us on 1300 138 265 or emailing us: customersupport@murrayirrigation.com.au

Business Update
A message from the new Chair
Murray Irrigation congratulates Phillip Snowden on his appointment as Chair of the Murray Irrigation Board, as voted by fellow Directors at last Thursday's Board meeting.
The company also extends our congratulations to Lachlan Marshall, who has been re-elected as Deputy Chair.
Please read below Mr Snowden's first update as Chair.
2023 Annual General Meeting results

Murray Irrigation hosted our 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) last Thursday, 30 November.
Approximately 50 shareholders turned out for the event, which was held at the Deniliquin RSL. This year's hybrid format attracted a further 27 online participants.
Three special resolutions were presented for voting during the formal proceedings. Two of these special resolutions sought modifications to the company's Constitution, while the third related to a share register administrative matter.
All three special resolutions were carried.
You can view the final Poll Declaration on our company website.
Two new Directors, Brendan Barry and Troy Mauger, were also confirmed to the Board during the formal proceedings. You can read more about Murray Irrigation's new Directors on our website: https://www.murrayirrigation.com.au/leadership-team
Thank you to everyone who attended last Thursday's AGM, both in person and online.
We appreciate your time, support and feedback, particularly during this very busy time of year.

WaterWell customer engagement
As many of you would know, the Murray Irrigation Board has approved increasing the volume of water sold through WaterWell to meet a financial target of $54 million over the next five years.
As mentioned in the CEO address during last week’s AGM, Management will be recommending to the Board that this be achieved through a Forward Allocation Product.
From next week, we will be seeking input from customers to help shape Management’s recommendation to the Board in February.
Further information on how we propose to structure this product, and how you can participate in the engagement process will be provided early next week.

Swim safe this summer
With the warmer summer weather now on its way, we’d like to remind customers that swimming in Murray Irrigation channels is dangerous and prohibited.
There are many dangers that lurk around our waterways including:
- Regulators or outlets moving without warning which can crush or trap swimmers
- Submerged objects and weeds
- Undertow and currents invisible on the water surface
- Snakes and spiders often make homes near outlets
Our region has many safe facilities where you can go to cool off and relax as the weather heats up, such as local pools and river beaches.
So please swim safe and stay safe this summer.
