Murray Irrigation launched a Sustainability Product with 20,000 megalitres (ML) of water offered for sale below the average market price to encourage water use within the region and enhance the prosperity of local farm businesses.

The offer

Murray Irrigation launched Allocation Advance, an early allocation of water distributed to shareholders. It allows farmers to receive five percent of their normal water allocation before the DPIE (Water) has announced an allocation for this region.

The details

Water is allocated at five percent of a shareholder’s total delivery entitlements. This is up to a limit of 110 percent of water entitlements (Class C) held within the same account. The Allocation Advance forms part of your total allocation limit.

The water will be applied to eligible shareholders’ water accounts following the announcement. Shareholders can access this water through the normal process.
