Murray Irrigation going to the polls

Murray Irrigation will conduct a ballot to fill three of the five member director positions on the company’s restructured Board.

The ballot will open on April 27 and close on May 28.

Candidate nominations will be made public on Friday (April 20) after the company conducts standard ASIC checks such as bankruptcy, director eligibility, criminal record and other routine due diligence measures.

Candidates will also be briefed on their roles and responsibilities as a director and sign up to the Directors’ Code of Conduct.

Friday’s announcement will also give the candidates time to discover who else is running, before confirming if they wish to contest the ballot or withdraw their nominations.

The membership of the board, which is expected to be finalised in June, will comprise five member directors and three independent directors.

The nominations come from a range of backgrounds and represent a good cross-section of enterprises across the footprint.
