MILCast embracing change

MILCast farewells departing Executive Manager and embraces change for the new financial year.

MILCast has farewelled Executive Manager, Peter De Vreede, who finished with the Company this month to pursue new opportunities with his family. Mr De Vreede commenced work with MILCast in December 2014 and has provided valuable management strategies to attract new business and implement new processes.

MILCast is an important division of Murray Irrigation and a significant contributor to our local economy said Interim Executive Manager for MILCast, Ms Suni Campbell. Ms Campbell said the change in management has provided a valuable opportunity to review MILCast’s business model and all operational procedures.

“This change in management will allow us to take a step back and thoroughly review the MILCast business model and how it reports into Murray Irrigation. Our aim is to maintain and improve productivity within the company,” Ms Campbell said. Over the next 12 months MILCast will be refining their operational procedures to ensure they continue to produce top quality precast concrete products. “MILCast is renowned for their quality concrete products within the local community and throughout Australia.

This is a reputation we plan on keeping. By reviewing the entire business and restructuring areas as required, we can ensure MILCast has a healthy reputation and good business practices well into the future.”

Ms Campbell said safety remains a number one priority for the company. “We are continuing to establish a safety culture throughout the Murray Irrigation business, and this is no different for MILCast. Safety is the number one priority,” Ms Campbell said. “We are looking forward to a successful year ahead for MILCast.”
