Easter proxy deadline approaches

Murray Irrigation shareholders unable to attend the company’s Extraordinary General Meeting next week are being encouraged to appoint a proxy to vote in their place.

Valid, completed proxy forms must be received no later than 7.00pm on Monday 2 April 2018.

The company is reminding shareholders to be mindful of the Easter long weekend and the proxy deadline of Easter Monday.

Shareholders need to return their proxies in time to offset potential delays presented by the Easter long weekend.

The EGM, to be held at the Deniliquin RSL Club from 7.00pm on Wednesday 4 April, seeks shareholder support for proposed changes to Murray Irrigation’s constitution.

The company is encouraging maximum shareholder participation, whether that’s at the meeting or via proxy.

It’s essential that the maximum number of shareholders cast their vote for the changes if the company is to have a high calibre board representing and defending the interests of shareholders, the company says.
